UPDATE: June 18, 2024 – As of this morning, we have received 2024 signatories leaving us shy of almost 500 email submissions to go before we reach our 2500 goal! Thank you to all who took the time to stand up for basic human rights for all Canadians.

We successfully shut down the We Unify banquet as confirmed by the Union Club of BC; however, the organizers are keeping the new venue secret until 24 hours prior when they will email paid ticket holders the location (tickets are sold out online.)

We have asked the Victoria Conference Centre, Destination Greater Victoria, the City of Victoria and various community leaders to take a stand and not allow this hate event from taking place in a public city-owned venue only to be told there is nothing that can be done.

And so we are calling for all allies and supporters to gather for a peaceful rally at the Victoria Conference Centre on Douglas Street this Saturday, June 22nd at 9AM. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more details.

1MVFI oppose “The We Unify 2024 Conference: Reclaiming Canada” to be held at the Victoria Conference Centre in Victoria, BC from June 22nd to 23rd.

This event is providing a platform and audience to speakers whose hateful rhetoric promotes transphobia, and ultimately puts our safety and human rights at risk.

There are 21 speakers and we have identified the ones with the most dangerous viewpoints towards the queer community as follows:
