1 Million Voices For Inclusion (1MVFI) is registered to speak at the Victoria City Council Meeting on Thursday, June 13th from 6:30 to 11PM. We are the sixth and last speaker to address council and ask them to uphold their Nov 9th, 2023 Declaration of Ongoing Solidarity with Gender-Diverse Residents.

The “We Unify 2024 Conference: Reclaiming Canada” will be held on June 21st to 23rd at the Victoria Conference Centre and features speakers that are known for civil disobedience and hate speech against the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. This is a direct attack on transgender and gender-diverse residents and poses a threat to their well-being and safety.

The Victoria City Council promised to “condemn any and all anti-SOGI mobilizations that seek to undermine the rights and dignity of gender-diverse individuals and their families within our city.” We are asking the City of Victoria and Destination Greater Victoria to uphold their commitment to diversity and inclusion by not allowing a hate group to use a publicly owned venue during Pride month in a city that is the most gender-diverse in Canada (Census 2021)!

We need all allies and supporters to gather at the Centennial Square Water Fountain on Thursday, June 13th at 6PM to let city council know that there is No Space for Hate in Victoria, BC. Please show your support and fill the room.
